Lodhi to lead Pakistan in Chess Olympiad

KARACHI, Sep 14 (APP)- Pakistan’s top rated chess star and International Master, Mahmood Ahmed Lodhi will lead Pakistan squad in the 39th Chess Olympiad being staged in Khanty Mansiyk (Russia) from September 19 to October 8.

45-year-old Gujranwala-based Lodhi won the national title for a record 12th time in Islamabad recently.
Other member of Pakistan men team included Aamir Karim, Tanvir Gilani, Wasim Akram and Salman Farooqi.
Pakistan women team included Nida Mishraz, Zenobia Wasif, Ghazala Shabbir, Ayman Shakir and Samman Shakir.
Secretary Sindh Chess Association Muhammad Wasif is the manager of the team – APP
